Every tier includes monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, a brief analysis identifying key drivers, and quarterly industry benchmarking — performed by a QuickBooks Online Gold Tier ProAdvisor.
Most Phoenix-metro small businesses fit the Small Business tier at $350/month — service businesses, consultants, and single-location retail running under 150 transactions per month across 3 accounts. The Bookkeeper Guy will recommend the right tier during your free consultation based on your last three months of transaction volume and connected accounts. If you're unsure, start at Small Business — we'll move you up or down a tier after your first full month of activity if the actual volume warrants it.
Small Business at $350/month covers up to 150 transactions across 3 bank or credit-card accounts. Growing at $500/month covers up to 300 transactions across 4 accounts. The deliverables are the same — monthly P&L + Balance Sheet, brief analysis, and quarterly KPI benchmarking — but Growing is the right fit if your transaction count routinely runs above 150 or you're reconciling more than 3 accounts.
No — pricing covers only transaction volume and bank account count. Payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, loans, and sales-tax filings are excluded. The Bookkeeper Guy will take on payroll, A/P, or A/R as a case-by-case separate engagement when it makes sense for both sides — quoted independently. We don't handle cash, pay employees on your behalf, pay your bills, or run collections — those stay with you.
If you already have a working QuickBooks Online file with a reasonable chart of accounts, there is no setup fee — we onboard you in the first week of your first month. If your QBO file needs work, we'll quote that separately as either a catch-up cleanup engagement (priced by your monthly tier × months behind ÷ 2) or as a one-time setup project after a free consultation.
Yes — The Bookkeeper Guy reviews tier fit at month three and every six months after. If your transaction volume or account count changes meaningfully, we'll recommend the right tier and the new price takes effect the following month. There are no penalties for moving up or down.
The Bookkeeper Guy onboards new Phoenix-metro clients within 7 business days of signed engagement. Week one: QBO access, chart of accounts review, bank feed verification. Week two: first reconciliation cycle on prior-month data. Month two: your first full month of monthly bookkeeping under the tier you selected. If your QBO file requires cleanup before monthly work can start, we scope that separately under catch-up pricing.

For receipt capture we use Dext. If you're currently on Xero, Wave, or Desktop QuickBooks, we'll scope migration to QBO during your free consultation.
